Weekly pollen and fungal spore forecast summary

Grass Pollen Count - High

Pollen forecast for grass with a severely high red pollen count.

The main grass pollen season is underway, with a high risk during prolonged dry, sunny periods above 17°C. If the weather turns very warm again, then the risk will increase to very high but the weather forecast is for unsettled/changeable weather during this forecast period, so this is a less likely scenario.

Tree Pollen Count - Low

Pollen forecast for trees with a low green pollen count.

Tree pollen will remain low, with the start of the lime tree pollen season on its way (an allergen affecting a small minority of hay fever sufferers).

Fungal Spore Levels - High

Pollen forecast for spores with a severely high red pollen count.

Cladosporium now at high risk on warm, dry days above 17°C. Leptosphaeria and allies will increase during high humidity and in association with rain, at a moderate risk.

Weed Pollen Count - High

Pollen forecast for weeds with a severely high red pollen count.

Nettle pollen will give a moderate to high risk to those affected by weed pollen.
