George joined the ºÚÁÏÍø in January 2026 after working as an Associate Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Coventry University since 2021.

George remains passionate about patient care and splits his working week with a clinical role as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist, where he sees a varied caseload of people presenting with a range of musculoskeletal conditions. His passion and skillset lies with using person-centred approaches to managing complex, disabling pain.

George has gained experience working in the NHS, private sector, and in elite sport.

Teaching Interests

George’s passion for teaching is for supporting learners to develop clinical reasoning skills that facilitate the delivery of high-value, person-centred care for musculoskeletal conditions.

His interests include:

George has experience supporting pre-registration clinicians and post-graduate / qualified clinicians.

Research Interests

George’s research interests lie in exploring person-centred care for people with disabling musculoskeletal pain disorders.

He has recently led an NHS cohort study evaluating cost and clinical outcomes of delivering Cognitive Functional Therapy to people with low back pain and health inequalities.
